Founded in 1956, the Washington Township Ambulance and Rescue Association has proudly served our community and surrounding areas for over 60 years. As one of the busiest Emergency Medical Service (EMS) providers in southern New Jersey, our agency responded to approximately 7,000 emergency calls in 2024 alone.
In addition to delivering high-quality emergency medical care to the residents and visitors of Washington Township, we provide mutual aid to neighboring municipalities. Our dedicated team has responded to both large- and small-scale incidents throughout the state of New Jersey, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to public safety and community support.
Our ambulance services are available around the clock to provide emergency medical assistance and transport to the hospital. Our highly trained EMTs are equipped with the latest medical equipment to ensure the best care for our patients.
Washington Township Ambulance and Rescue Association employs over 40 state- and nationally-certified EMTs who are dedicated to providing the highest level of patient care to the residents and visitors of Washington Township.

We provide fast and reliable ambulance services around the clock. Our team of trained and experienced professionals are equipped with the latest medical equipment to ensure the best possible care for our patients.
We provide comprehensive event medical services for concerts, festivals, sports events, and more. Our team of medical professionals are equipped to handle any medical emergency that may arise during the event.
We offer medical standby services for businesses, schools, and other organizations. Our team of medical professionals are on standby to provide medical assistance in case of an emergency.
We offer training and education services for individuals and organizations in the EMS industry. Our courses are taught by experienced medical professionals and cover a wide range of topics.
Washington Township Ambulance and Rescue Assn. Does provide a ride along program available to any person interested in attending EMT school, or are in EMT school who wish to get hands on experience. The program does have requirements prior to riding with our agency:
1. You must be at least 17 years of age.
2. If you are under 18, a

4. Uniform is black or blue pants , plain white or black tee and either boots or sneakers.
5. Ride along shifts start at 8am and end between 12pm and 6pm.
You will be riding with one of our crews, observing patient care, and interaction.
